At the end the second day of play, there were only two things we were sure of: Kenya made it to semis while Morocco and Maurice Island were already out. The rest of teams taking part in the Women 2015 African Nations Championships were still having a hope to hang on to. The hope of qualifying to the semis.
Such was also the fate of Cameroon who made it in a dramatic way by beating 3 sets to 2 Tunisia in a very thrilling encounter; thus securing a ticket to semis.
In the other encounter of the group, Senegal needed just two sets to make it also. As usual they came from two sets loss before stunning Morocco by 3 sets to 2 and finally taking the lead of Pool B.
Meanwhile in Pool A, peace was perfect, with hierarchy being respected; favorite teams had no problem coming over their opponents. Thus Kenya defeated Botswana (3 sets to 0) securing their first place while Algeria won the encounter against Mauritius (3 sets to 0).
The semis will give Kenya against Cameroon and Senegal versus Algeria. In the meantime Tunisia and Botswana will meet to know which teams are 5th and 6th. Morocco and Mauritius will encounter to determine the 7th and 8th teams of the tournament.
