Yaounde, Cameroon, October 6, 2017- The drawing of Lots for the 2017 Women's African Nations Championship which acts also as a qualifier for the 2018 FIVB World Championship was held in Franco Hotel in presence of CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani in Cameroon Capital of Yaounde.
Hosts Cameroon were drawn in Pool A along with the North African Neighbours Egypt and Algeria beside the dark horses Botswana.
Pool B comprise 5 teams headed by the second African team in FIVB ranking Tunisia who will battle it out against the record holders Kenya who have 9 out of 17 titles under their name. Other competitors are Senegal, Nigeria and Congo RD.The competition starts on Saturday with three matches and the first round continues till October 11th. The top two teams of the first round qualify to the semifinal, while the third and fourth ranked team play for the 5 to 8 positions.Pool Composition
